CAN TEST PLUGS — 17-23 DURAMAX 6.6L L5P

Fitting the CAN test plugs on a 2017–2023 Chevy/GMC 2500/3500 6.6L L5P Duramax after the emissions system is removed: two NOx module plugs, one particulate matter sensor plug and one DEF tank plug, each into the connector the removed part left behind.

Steps

1 Fit the two NOx module plugs

One goes into the NOx module connector under the hood. The other goes into the connector on the outside of the passenger side frame rail.

2 Fit the particulate matter sensor plug

The connector is on the passenger side frame rail, just ahead of the rear tire.

3 Fit the DEF tank plug

Into the DEF tank connector.
