DPF/EGR DELETE — 20-26 JEEP ECODIESEL 3.0L
Disconnect the negative cable from both batteries (if equipped) before touching the PCM.
Sending the PCM out for bench flash tuning, then removing the DPF, EGR crossover and midpipe on a 2020+ Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator 3.0L EcoDiesel. The factory rear muffler section stays on the vehicle.
Steps
1 Disconnect both batteries and remove the PCM
Disconnect the negative battery cables from both batteries (if equipped). Disconnect the PCM connectors (arrow 1), then remove the nuts holding the PCM into its mount (arrows 2 and 3).
2 Package the PCM and ship it for bench flash tuning
Send it to the retailer for the PCM bench flash tuning service.
3 Reinstall the tuned PCM when it comes back
4 Reconnect the battery negative terminals
5 Unplug the orange EGR plug
It is on the passenger side of the engine bay.
6 Install the EGR block off plate (if purchased)
On the passenger side of the engine. The threaded port in the plate is for an aftermarket EGT temperature probe only, not the OEM sensor.
7 Remove the stock exhaust from the downpipe to the muffler
This includes the DPF, the secondary catalyst, the SCR injector, the EGR crossover pipe (make sure you have the EGR delete plate needed to take the EGR off the exhaust), the NOx sensors, the DPF pressure sensors and the EGT sensors after the EGR.
Disconnect the connector for the exhaust valve in the midpipe; the module itself stays in the exhaust.
Only the DPF after the turbo downpipe and the midpipe come out. The OEM rear muffler section remains. The photo shows the factory DPF and midpipe once removed.
8 Unplug the NOx sensor module and remove it with the exhaust
The module stays on the exhaust. Unplug it from the chassis side harness and it comes out with the pipe.
9 Front DPF pressure sensor
It remains in the exhaust, as pictured.
10 Disconnect the chassis-mounted DPF connector
This serves the middle and rear sensors.
11 Tuck away the harness at the front of the vehicle
Near the downpipe flange.
12 Disconnect and tuck away the rear connector cluster
The rear-most EGT sensor and the exhaust valve, on the rear driver side frame rail near the rear spring.
