ROTARY SWITCH — 10-19 CUMMINS 6.7L
Never work on a hot vehicle. Let it cool before starting, and wear eye protection when working on or under it. Use the crankcase pressure sensor connector on the driver side valve cover. The passenger side has a sensor with the same connector; the switch will not work on it.
Wiring the EZ Lynk rotary shift-on-the-fly switch into the crankcase pressure sensor connector on a 2010–2019 RAM 2500/3500 6.7L Cummins, and checking it reads the right voltage at each position. Kit: A. Loomed electrical wires B. Dial stickers C. Switch control board D. Switch knob E. Allen wrench
Steps
1 Route the three switch wires through the firewall and pin the connector
Bring the loomed wires through the firewall before connecting anything. Route them carefully, away from hot surfaces and moving parts, and secure them so they cannot rub on anything sharp.
Use the supplied 3-wire plug to join the switch harness to the crankcase pressure sensor. Match the connector wires to the sensor wires by colour: red to hole 1, purple to hole 2, black to hole 3.
2 Connect to the crankcase pressure sensor on the driver side valve cover
Compare the wire colours before plugging in. There is a sensor on the passenger side with the same connector: do not use it, the switch will not function there.
3 Check the switch has four clicks to the right
Starting fully left, the switch should click right four times, giving five tune positions. If it clicks more than that, pull the knob off and move the set pin washer into the correct groove, between the 5th and 6th slot, as pictured.
4 Troubleshooting
You need a voltmeter. Set the switch to position 1 and turn the key to Run, engine off or on. Test the switch-on-the-fly wire, the purple one. The reading varies a little within each level (4.0–4.9 in position 1, for example) but should be close to:
Level 1: 4.5 V
Level 2: 3.5 V
Level 3: 2.5 V
Level 4: 1.5 V
Level 5: 0.5 V
High idle: 5.0 V
If the readings do not match, check the connections and pins for anything bent or broken, and make sure no debris is stopping a pin seating fully. If it persists, call tech support on 877-223-5018.
