RACEME ULTRA SOFTWARE UPDATE — 07-24 CUMMINS 6.7L
Formatting erases everything on the card. Download the exact update version you need for your tuner, and safely eject the card before pulling it out, or the files can corrupt.
Updating the RaceMe Ultra's software and firmware from a Windows computer: the update files go onto the micro SD card from the display, then the tuner installs them from the card. Do this before the first programming session and whenever racemecanada.com lists a newer version than the one shown bottom left on your Main Menu. You need the micro SD card adapter from the Ultra's packaging and a computer with a USB port.
Steps
1 Install 7-Zip
Download the latest 7-Zip from the Updates tab at racemecanada.com and install it. The update files are compressed to make the download smaller, and 7-Zip unpacks them.
2 Put the micro SD card in the computer
Push the card in the top left of the display lightly until it unclicks and pull it out. Put it in the micro SD adapter from the Ultra's packaging and plug the adapter into a USB port.
3 Format the card as FAT32
Open File Explorer (Computer, on Windows 7), find the card's drive in the left pane, right-click it and choose Format. Set the file system to FAT32, untick Quick Format and click Start. This erases the card and can take up to ten minutes.
4 Download the update and open it
From racemecanada.com download the version of the update you need, checking carefully that it is the one you want. Open the downloaded folder: five folders appear, and all five are needed on the card. Click Edit, then Select All, then Extract. The copy window opens.
5 Choose the card as the destination
Click the box with three dots to the right of the address bar, scroll down to the card and select it. The card shows a drive letter in brackets. Click OK.
6 Copy the files and eject the card
Click OK on the copy window. A progress bar runs while the files transfer. When it finishes, safely eject the drive before removing the card so nothing corrupts.
7 Run the firmware update on the tuner
Put the card back in the display and power the tuner up. Then: Menu, Config, Tool, Page Up, Firmware Update.
