FINISHING UP — 16-19 TITAN XD 5.0L CUMMINS
The last checks after any part of the 2016–2019 Nissan Titan XD tune and delete: leaks, a first idle, codes, and putting the fender well back.
Steps
1 Reconnect the batteries, back off the ramps and check for leaks
Exhaust, transfer tube, air intake tubes, both charge tubes and the coolant system, whichever of them you touched.
2 Idle for 10–15 minutes and clear any codes
This gently heats the new parts and lets the computer start adjusting. DTCs are not unusual here; monitor them on the Auto Agent and reset as needed. Turn the truck off and let it cool.
3 Refit the fender well and secure everything
Double check every unused plug is capped and secured. Zip-tie loose ends and trim the ties with flush cuts.
4 After a heat cycle, check every bolt
Run the truck for 15 minutes, let it cool for 30, then go back over every bolt and clamp you touched: up pipe, block off plates, charge tubes, intake and exhaust. New joints settle on the first heat cycle.
